Meet the Co-Founders and Management

Linda Gayhart – President and Co-Founder

Linda Gayhart has devoted her career to administration, event management, marketing and public relations. Her experience includes planning and managing logistics of large and small events and trade shows, developing strategic relationships and contract negotiations. She is a passionate advocate for solar ubiquity.

Linda co-founded WholeSolar LLC, a solar aggregator and government contractor that represents a broad range of solar photovoltaic and thermal manufacturers and is strategically aligned with solar designers and installers. Previously, she began her career as a primary event planner for Anthony Robbins Companies. She broadened her marketing and event planning experience, moving into management of trade shows and conventions. She then enhanced her marketing experience as First Allied Securities’ sole conference meeting planner. Prior to founding WholeSolar, she assumed the position of Executive Director for the Financial Planning Association of San Diego.

Linda currently volunteers at Coronado Village Elementary School in the Everyone A Reader program. A San Diego native, she graduated from University of California San Diego and resides in Coronado, California.

Roy Gayhart – Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder

Roy Gayhart has devoted his career to high-growth, start-up and turn-around business opportunities in a variety of industries, including solar energy, government contracting, consumer products, software development, high-tech manufacturing, apparel, retail, professional services and distribution. His experience includes developing strategic partnerships, IPO’s, private placements and debt financings. He also has broad experience in domestic and international sales and marketing.

Roy co-founded WholeSolar LLC, a solar aggregator that represents a broad range of solar photovoltaic and thermal manufacturers and is strategically aligned with solar designers and installers. Many of Roy’s past business endeavors produced products with continued success, including a major-brand houseware product line, “smart” scratch-off lottery ticket and phone card vending machines and a specialty consumer electronics boutique retail chain.  He has filed the Initial Cost Accounting Disclosure Statement for a Fortune 500 company and has played leadership roles in management teams that created strong revenue growth over short time periods. He began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP, as an audit manager, CPA and helped open the firm’s San Diego office.

Roy currently volunteers as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in the San Diego CONNECT Springboard Mentoring Program and sits on the Board of Directors of Almen Laboratories. He volunteers as a YMCA basketball coach and Little League manager. Roy graduated from San Diego State University and resides in Coronado, California.

Gabe Gayhart – Vice President Marketing

Gabe Gayhart - VP Marketing

Gabe has been responsible for setting the strategic direction for online marketing campaigns for over 6 years. He has worked with small start-ups to enterprise Fortune 50 strategy. He lead an R&D team on social in 2006 at SEO inc, and Social/ Reputation management for clients like Cash 4 Gold while at Webmetro. In the last 2 years, he has been instrumental in building a social voice and incorporating with search strategy at solar startup, WholeSolar. All of which, contributed to driving sales & created an industry leadership presence.

Gabe’s experience in a multitude of verticals is the result of a career at digital agencies, such as Razorfish, Webmetro & SEO Inc. His portfolio includes sites by Microsoft, Hawaiian Airlines, Best Buy, Anthem Blue Cross (most Wellpoint properties), Dean Koontz,& eHow.
